About Kyle
For Kyle, building instruments is more than craft - it is a lifelong devotion. A Western North Carolina native, Kyle began his luthier journey at just 13, building mountain dulcimers. He credits his love of the craft to his then music teacher, Ken Schoewee, who introduced him to to what soon became his calling.
Over the next 25 years, Kyle dedicated himself to refining the art of instrument making. He spent two years with Dream Guitars, one of the region’s premier acoustic instrument shops, where he continues to provide trusted repair work today. From his workshop in the Blue Ridge Mountains, he now creates handcrafted guitars, banjos, and door harps - each built with a deep respect for tradition, tone, and playability.
His work is available by commission and at Acoustic Corner in Black Mountain, North Carolina.
